one of the nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating. |
The views of, and from, the Grand Tetons, Wyoming.
My class spent the last week at the Teton Science School in Wyoming, a ten hour drive away from Denver. We were first snowed in at Lander, WY for a night, but once we arrived to Jackson Hole, we hiked, ate the best cafeteria food I’ve ever encountered, deciphered animal scat, got very up-close and personal with wildlife, found animal skeletons, learned how the abiotic affects the biotic in the moraine and valley, and battled many personal demons and fears about nature. You can learn more about the Teton Science School here. I can also officially tell you one conifer from the other. (hopefully..)
I won’t lie, the group faced several obstacles, but the scenery and the land made up for it all.
